Dennis Avagliano, our new Board member, took the money at the door ; and would not allow me entrance before paying my $3.00. As I only had $4.00 June who came later had to pay for herself.
We welcomed especially Phil and Gerri Engdahl; ( we always see Phil cruising round the roads in his wheelchair ) ; Pat Haynes ( who was in an arm plaster after a not very nice car accident ) and Gail Hill, together with Donna; ( Gail has been hospitalised recently ).
As always Alex and Liz Geldhof were at the forefront of the line for the super BBQ put on and cooked by Peter Kelligrew and his team of assistants Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, with and without cheese, and Chicken were on the menu.
We missed Wayne Klinkhamer and Jerilyn, who were north in Indiana; Keith Pitcher and Lise who had returned to Canada; and Jim Murphy ( our other new Board member who is doing a super job getting new pool loungers and Jim is redecorating the Clubhouse and the Rest Rooms along with his volunteers ) and Gerry. Actually Jim was on the golf course at the time and shooting a Gross 79. This means that we may loose Jim to the Senior's Golf Tour next year. Paul Thomson was ther as usual with his lovely bride Donna.
We had a great time. The usual helpers were there. You will see them on the Photos.
As usual all the clearing up was done with absolute precision and we were out of the Clubhouse to be in bed by 21.00 hours.
